1. How many people does this kit serve?

The Essential Kit covers the essentials for an individual or a small family for 72 hours in shared items (water filter, flashlight, radio, first aid), with some duplicate items (2 blankets, 2 oral hygiene kits, 2 cups). For full autonomy for 2 people with cooking and food, we recommend the Advanced Kit, Complete Essential Kit or the Complete Advanced Kit

2. How long does this kit last stored unused?

The main components (filter, lamp, tools) have a lifespan of several years when stored in a dry place. Batteries should be checked annually. We recommend an inspection once a year.

3. Do the batteries and filter come ready to use?

Yes. Batteries are included (2 AAA batteries + 2 AA batteries) and the filter is sealed, ready for first use. You don't need to buy anything extra for the kit to work when you receive it.

4. Where should I keep the kit at home?

Ideally, it should be in a place that's easy to reach in the dark: at the house entrance, in a pantry near the door, or in the car. Avoid areas with extreme humidity or direct sun exposure.

5. Can my children use the kit?

The flashlight, whistle, mirror, and thermal blanket are safe and easy for children to use. The pocket knife and lighter should always remain with an adult. Take advantage of the kit to do a family "preparation round." Knowing where things are is half the battle.

6. Do I need any training to use this?

No. All components are intuitive, and the included 72h Survival Handbook explains step-by-step how to use each item. Even so, we recommend spending 15 minutes familiarizing yourself with the water filter and radio before you need them.

7. Does the filter work with any water?

Works with fresh water: tap, streams, lakes, springs. It does not filter salt water or chemicals (chlorine, high concentrations of heavy metals). Eliminates 99.99999% of bacteria, parasites and microplastics.

8. Can I return it if it doesn't meet my expectations?

Yes. You have 30 days to return the kit sealed and in its original condition. More details can be found in our Refund Policy.

9. Can I take this kit on the plane?

As hold luggage only. The lighter, pocket knife, and some tools will not pass hand luggage control.

10. How much does the complete kit weigh?

Approximately 2.5 kg. Can be carried effortlessly by any adult.
