1. What's the difference between choosing Traditional or Vegan?

The Traditional includes dishes with meat, fish and seafood (Bolognese, Tuna, Salmon, Beef Stew, Chicken Curry, Pasta Arrabbiata). The Vegan is 100% plant-based (Mushroom Risotto, Spinach Pasta, Sweet Potato Curry, Lentil Stroganoff). They are nutritionally equivalent, so choose according to taste.

2. Do freeze-dried meals need a stove to prepare?

They need hot water. In an emergency, you can heat it over a fire using any container. Note: this kit does not include a stove. If you want that autonomy, check out the Complete Advanced Kit (which includes camping gas and a pot).

3. How long does freeze-dried food last after opening?

Once hydrated, it should be consumed within a few hours (ideally in the same meal). Sealed and unopened, it lasts up to 8 years.

4. Does it contain allergens? Can I trust it for someone with dietary restrictions?

Meals have detailed allergen information on each package. We recommend checking before consuming. In case of severe allergies, please contact us before purchase and we will confirm the exact composition.

5. Where do I keep the kit at home?

Cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. A pantry, cupboard, garage or under the bed will do. Meals can withstand temperatures between -20 °C and +60 °C without losing validity.

6. How long does delivery take?

Shipping within 24/48 working hours after payment confirmation, for mainland Portugal. Madeira, Azores and Europe: 3 to 7 working days.

7. Can I use parts of the kit for regular camping without compromising emergency preparedness?

Yes, and we recommend it. Familiarising yourself with the equipment before you need it is essential. Just remember to replace what you use, and we have meals and components available separately.

8. Do the meals last for 2 people for 72 hours?

Yes: the kit includes 12 main meals, plus biscuits, chocolate, and coffee as energy supplements. It provides about 1500 kcal per day per person, sufficient for a low-activity situation.

9. Can I add more meals?

Yes, we sell the Traditional and Vegan Food Kits separately to replenish your stock or extend your autonomy.

10. Do I have 30 days to return it?

Yes, in original condition and with no open meals. More details in the Refund Policy.
