FAQs
1. How long does it take for the solar panel to charge a mobile phone?
Approximately 2h30 to 3h in direct sunlight to reach 100% (average mobile phone). On cloudy days, expect double the time. The 4,000 mAh power bank acts as a reservoir; you charge it in the sun during the day and use it at night.
2. Does the gas cooker come with gas included?
The camping stove is included. The gas cylinder is not included due to transport restrictions. We recommend buying a cylinder and storing it with the kit, away from heat sources. The included flyer reminds you of this on the day you receive the kit.
3. How much does the assembled kit weigh?
Approximately 6–7 kg. Can be carried on an adult's back for several hours.
4. Do the multi-tool and its tools require regular maintenance?
They do not require complex maintenance. We recommend an annual cleaning with a dry cloth and light oil. The blade comes sharpened from the factory.
5. Can I use this kit for regular camping, not just emergencies?
Yes, and we recommend it. Using the kit on casual outings helps you get to know the equipment before you truly need it. It's the best way to ensure you know how to prepare a meal, set up shelter, or use the filter under pressure.
6. Are the batteries and power bank charged?
Batteries: yes, included and new (2 packs AAA + 2 packs AA). Power bank: comes partially charged. We recommend fully charging it upon receipt and performing recharge cycles every 6 months.
7. Is the kit 100% suitable for 2 people?
Yes, for almost all items (2 oral hygiene kits, 2 cups, cutlery, 2 blankets). The water filter, flashlight, radio, and stove are shared, which is normal and sufficient for 72 hours.
8. What's the real difference between the Advanced Kit and the Essential Kit?
The Essential guarantees the basics (water, light, first aid). The Advanced adds solar power, power bank, gas stove, pot, and cutlery. If your concern is "what if this lasts longer than 72 hours?", the Advanced is the choice.
9. Can I return it if it doesn't meet my expectations?
Yes, 30 days to return with everything sealed and in original condition.
10. Is the kit ready to use when it arrives?
Yes. The Handbook explains how to get started and the Flyer indicates what you need to gather (gas bottle, bottled water, personal medication). We suggest a 30-minute "trial run" to familiarise yourself with each component.
